Village Festivals are unique ways of celebrating art and culture of village, promotes art - artists- village and attracts thousands from neighbouring communities and guests from outside, adding pride to the village artists. At MusiCal, we use Village Festival platform, to reach out to village audience with diversity of music and encourage rural folk music, urban youth band and Int'l collaborations to be showcased.

Baul Fakiri Utsav

Gorbhanga, Nadia 17 November, 2017 to 19 November, 2017

Soulful voices of the Bauls and Fakirs, the tunes of the Dotara, earthy touch of the village, all makes Fakiri Utsav of Gorbhanga an ideal setting for the music lovers. The fakirs of Gorbhanga beckon you to be a part of the music festival to be held from Nov 17-19 at Gorbhanga, Nadia. The fakirs in the past few years have been to almost all continents. Chau Jhumur Utsav

Bamnia, Purulia 22 December, 2017 to 28 December, 2017

Purulia is famous for Chau dance and Jhumur song and dance. For the last few years, Chau Utsav is being held at Bamnia village in Purulia. On December 22-28, Chau-Jhumur Utsav will be held at Bamnia. 5 Chau teams and 1 Jhumur team will perform on each day of this 7 days festival. Bhawaiya Mela

Majidkhana, Alipurduar 12 January, 2018 to 14 January, 2018

Bhawaiya Mela will be held at the Majidkhana High School ground, Alipurduar on Jauary 12- 14, organised by the local Bhawaiya artists of Cooch Behar and Alipurduar.
